Ray & Georgia Gough Design Research Space

WAYFINDING | SIGNAGE

The Ray and Georgia Gough Design Research Space is a design library and resource room located in the University of North Texas’ College of Visual Arts and Design. A space created to aid students and faculty of communication, fashion, and interior design in their studies.

In order to address the lack of wayfinding and labeling throughout the space, a wayfinding system was created. 3-D printing was the chosen method of production to combat a low funding budget, using the 3-D printers onsite and already set within the college’s budget. Additionally, bookcase toppers were designed with the intention of being reused or moved around in the event of cases being reorganized to accommodate new books and materials.
